EAP type was Smart Card or other certificate and Authenticate as computer when computer information is available was checked. Those were there as soon as I installed the XP on two of our desktops 2 years ago.I never mess with those settings, obviously I know nothing about the networking LOL.My laptop the Authentication tab wasnt even there for me to mess with.Everything came pre-loaded on the laptop so Im not sure why the Authentication tab wasnt there.Or perhaps it was a wireless laptop and there is no need for that tab.
If the box was checked, then that was why you were getting the “unable to find a certificate to log you on to the network” message because Windows is looking for one, but your wireless router is not setup for certificate security.
