For example org Then go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Services\W32Time\Parameters find the key called Type and change it’s value to NTP After adjusting these keys open cmd and run the following command: net stop w32time && net start w32time The system time should change within the next few minutes.Stack Exchange network consists of 172 Q&A communities including Stack Overflow, the largest, most trusted online community for developers to learn, share their knowledge, and build their careers.I have been reading about NTP and how to configure NTP.My configuration file (/etc/ntp.conf) looks like: There is a large offset but if I understood it correctly this shouldn't matter because of the 'tinker panic 0' line in the configuration file.I talked to one of their senior tech support staff. He had me do another p-ram reset, but also move the System Configuration folder (found in the Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences folder) to the trash, empty trash and restart.I know the server is working correctly because I can sync the right time with the command: I want the raspberry to sync with the server, no matter what the offset is. I want the raspberry to sync when it boots and then keep syncing.I know about the post here but this uses the ntpdate which seems to be depreciated.
This service works out of the box when the computer on which it is installed is connected to the internet.
In the Dec 3 i Mac.local ntpd: SYNC state ignoring 0.155735 s Dec 3 i Mac.local ntpd: ntpd: time set 0.308737 s Dec 3 i Mac.local com.apple.time: Interval maximum value is 946100000 seconds (specified value: 9223372036854775807). If the addition of multiple servers (3 in total) had anything to do with making it better, perhaps (?
) the addition of yet more servers will make it better still.
Because this did lead to a solution I am posting it.
Windows time service implements Simple-NTP (SNTP) by default and not NTP.
